Uma Garden is a fire-based restaurant and garden venue in Umalas, Bali. We cook over wood and ember: steaks first, whole fish, vegetables charred or raw, bread baked in-house, with wine and cocktails to carry the night. Real food, an open fire, and a room that brings people together.

Uma Garden is at Jl. Umalas 1 No.8, Kerobokan Kelod, Kuta Utara, Badung, Bali 80361, in Umalas, about 5 minutes from Seminyak and around 15 minutes from Canggu depending on your vehicle and the traffic.

What are Uma Garden's opening hours?

Uma Garden is open every day, Monday to Sunday, from 11:30 to midnight. The kitchen runs through lunch and dinner, and the fire is at its best in the evening.

What kind of food does Uma Garden serve?

Wood-fire cooking. Steaks are the anchor, alongside whole fish on the fire, seasonal vegetables, house bread and one fire-touched dessert. If a dish can't be cooked over fire, it doesn't make the menu.

Do I need a reservation, or can I walk in?

Both work. We recommend booking ahead, especially for dinner and weekends, and you can reserve a table online. Walk-ins are welcome; there is usually a spot at the bar or in the garden.

Does Uma Garden have live music?

Yes. Live Jazz every Tuesday and live Blues every Thursday, every week. Most tables fill up by midweek, so book ahead for music nights.

How much does dinner cost at Uma Garden?

Uma Garden sits in the mid-to-high range for Bali. Steaks anchor the bill and the wine carries the rest, so a typical dinner depends on what you order and drink. You are paying for the room, the fire and real ingredients, not for portions.

Is Uma Garden good for vegetarians?

Yes. The fire isn't only for meat. We char and serve vegetables as a dish in their own right, plus house bread and sides. Tell us about any dietary needs when you book and the kitchen will look after you.

Can I host a wedding or private event at Uma Garden?

Yes. Uma Garden hosts weddings and private events for 20 to 120 seated guests, with full garden exclusive hire, a custom fire-cooked menu, and resident jazz and blues musicians. Email reservations@umagardenbali.com to enquire.

Is the food at Uma Garden halal?

Uma Garden is not a halal restaurant. We serve pork, along with wine, cocktails and beer. Some of our beef does come from suppliers who follow halal slaughter, so if that matters to you, ask us and we'll point you to those cuts.

How do I get to Uma Garden from Seminyak or Canggu?

Uma Garden is in Umalas, about 5 minutes from Seminyak and around 15 minutes from Canggu, depending on your vehicle and the traffic. A taxi, Grab or Gojek to the Google Maps pin is the easiest way in. Parking is available on site.
